Question: How are we measuring person? Is this by IP address, or is it by device, or by login? Should people be wanting to click and follow the link every day like they do for voting, or does it just count them once? What about multiple users who share computers (ie is it by login or by computer)?

I ask specifically because I’ve already started reaching out, and gotten likes from people saying that they’ve clicked, but when I go look at my vote totals in the contest they haven’t changed.

each ip address and/or member are counted once per day (pacific time). So if there were 10 members all at the same ip address, they’d all count if they were logged into TWC when they clicked, but 10 anonymous people sharing the same ip address would be considered the same one vote. what is your comic name and I’ll investigate

The Demon Archives. I’ve had several people tell me they’ve clicked through, and I’ve tried it from a couple of different IP addresses since, but it still only lists as 2. Seems like the other comics are having the same problem.

Richard has looked into it and made some updates. Any missing data has been collected and will be added into the system shortly. So no clicks will go uncounted. Just heard back from him via email.

Oh wow! You guys are way out in the lead! Congrats Dan!

Good to hear that whatever issues got fixed. By the looks of it, votes are definitely going through now :)

I’ve been promoting it on my FB, website, and other avenues. And maybe it’s just good karma from all the publication I’ve done for the blog section in the past. I’d say I deserve it ;)

Hehe for sure Dan. I do very much appreciate you joining in on here. That and if it wasn’t for you, I may never have read Demon Archives! I’m definitely glad I started!

The votes that hadn’t been showing properly have now been registered, giving The Demon Archives and Crazy Sunshine a healthy lead. This is only day 1, I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Sorry, another question. Does this count each unique IP address just once, or should I be encouraging people to continue following my unique link every day?
